QStrain is a user-friendly, interactive platform for screening genetic target sites for high-risk infectious viruses and designing small interfering RNA (siRNA)/antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) treatments.
It provides reference-guided multiple sequence alignment (MSA) of viral genomes including SARS-CoV-2, Lassa, SFTSV, MERS-CoV, Influenza H1N1, Nipah, RSV, and Dengue virus which would be added gradually.
The MSA result can be visualized in the form of frequency profile, homology (conservation) score, viral gene expression, and phylogenetic tree for a reference and user input sequences.
Highly conserved regions will be used to predict target viral gene region and nucleic acid-based therapeutics including siRNA/ASO design.
